Blood bags theft:Two people accused of stealing blood bags at Kenyatta National Hospital have been charged at Milimani Law Courts.
Two Henry Theuri and Erick Otieno Omedo have been charged that on July 2025 at Nairobi region blood transfusion centre at Kenyatta National Hospital within Nairobi County,you stole four cartons of Automated blood collection kits(APHARETIC KITS) and one carton (forty two pieces) of ordinary blood bags all valued at 1,125,870 the property of Nairobi Region Blood Transfusion Centre.
Erick Otieno was also charged with handling suspected stolen goods against the law.
He was charged with dishonestly retaining 24 pieces of Automated blood collection kits and one carton of 42 pieces of ordinary blood bags the property of Nairobi region blood transfusion centre,knowing or having reasons to believe it to stolen property.
Theuri pleaded for liniency saying he is a family man.
They were released on Sh 200 CB or bond of 400,000 each plus two contact persons.
