Pastor charged with Sh 23M land fraud

A Word of Life Center Church Pastor has denied stealing Charges before Milimani law courts.

Daniel Bishebi Munalo has been charged with Shb 23M land fraud.He is accused of stealing Sh 23,558,625 which had been entrusted to him to run operations and purchase of land.

Munalo is alleged to have committed the offense on diverse dates between 1st November 2019 and 9th August 2021 in Kenya, being an agent of Word of Life Center Church and Ministries.

The preacher is also charged with three counts of uttering false documents.

According to the charge sheet, the accused person is accused of fraudulently uttering a letter for change of mandate and change of signatory for the church bank account to Eco Bank Plaza 2000 and Eco Bank West Minister branch.

He denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Dolphina Alego.

Munalo was granted a bond of Sh 10 million with alternative cash bail of Sh 2 million.

He will also be required to provide three contact persons upon depositing the cash nail to secure his release.

The case will be mentioned on 27th March 2025 for pre-trial.
