City lawyers have strongly and absolved the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua from being associated with a company trading as Moran manufacturers limited.
The lawyers Danstan Omari, Samson Nyaberi, and Shadrack wambui told journalists at Milimani Law courts that the DP does not hold single shares in the company has alleged Kibwezi member of Parliament Mwengi Mutuse in his notice of motion presented to Parliament on 1st October 2024 to impeach Gachagua.
They said the company is owned by Josuah Gichoi, two sons of Gachagua and his wife Dorcus wanjiku, and the company has never done any business since the Dp was elected in August 2022 general elections.
They said that they have presented an affidavit and bank statements from absa Bank to the clerk of the national assembly seeking to expunge the name of the company from the least of companies alleged to be associated with DP.
They said that the allegations made by the Mp against Dp are Malicious, and they will be seeking instructions from the directors of the company so as to institute legal proceedings against the MP.
