Three men have been arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts over allegations that they were in possession of two pistols and several rounds of ammunition in Githurai Mwiki, Nairobi County.
Edison Mukama alias Abdul Musa, John Njuguna Githinji alias Mosee and Adens Kiganga alias Daddy appeared before the court on August 13, 2026, where they were jointly charged with preparation to commit a felony under Section 308(1) of the Penal Code.
The prosecution alleges that the three were found together at about midnight on July 21, 2026, in Githurai Mwiki with two firearms.
The charge sheet identifies the weapons as a Retay Falcon pistol, serial number RFL/A190314902, and an Ekol pistol, serial number EP17127295.
According to the prosecution, the circumstances surrounding the alleged possession suggested that the three men were armed in preparation to commit robbery.
Mukama is separately accused of possessing the Ekol pistol without a valid firearm certificate, contrary to Section 4 of the Firearms Act.
Njuguna faces a similar charge relating to the alleged possession of the Retay Falcon pistol.
The two men are also separately charged over ammunition allegedly found in their possession.
The prosecution alleges that three rounds of 9mm ammunition were recovered from Mukama, while Njuguna was allegedly found with five rounds of 9mm ammunition, both without the required firearm certificates.
The three accused were arrested on July 21 before being taken to the Milimani Law Courts on August 13 to face the charges.
The court has not yet made a determination on their release on bond. A pre-bail report has been ordered to assist the court before the issue of bail is considered.
The case will come up for mention on August 20, 2026.
