FAKE MEDICAL DOCTOR CHARGED WITH OVER SH 12 MILLION TENDER FRAUD.

An alleged Fake Medical Doctor has been charged at Milimani Law Courts with falsely obtaining Sh 5.7 Million.

David Kahi alias Doctor Lugonze is said to have obtained goods from Ibrahim Aden by falsely pretending that he had been awarded a tender by the ministry of health to supply 1000 pieces of non- contact infrared thermometers.

Kahi denied the charges before Magistrate Nzibe.

The accused is said to have committed the offense on May 8,2020 at digital Marketing located at Dahill in Westland’s Area.

The accused denied seven counts of obtaining goods by false pretence, forgery and personating a public officer.

Lugonze was also charged in another count with obtaining 1,640 boxes of Non-powdered Hand Gloves valued at Sh 7,415,000 from Aden by faking a tender from the Ministry of health.

He was again charged that on May 4 and 20, 2020 at Afya house along cathedral road in Nairobi, he falsely presented himself to be a person employed in the public service as a procurement officer at the ministry of health headquarters.

Kahi is also accused of faking a notification of award for a tender letter from the Ministry of health.

“Jointly with others not before the court, with intent to deceive, forged a Local Purchase Order (LPO)dated 4/5/2020 purporting it to be a genuine LPO issued by the Ministry of Health,” Reads Charge sheet in parts.

He was released on Sh 1 million Bond.
