DPP SAYS HE IS READY TO PROSECUTE Former Kenya Ports Authority MD Daniel Manduku IN SH 200M graft case.

The Director of Public Prosecution now says he’s ready to prosecute a Kshs 200 Million graft case against Former Kenya Ports Authority MD Daniel Manduku.

Today State Counsel Eva Kanywira told Chief Magistrate Eunice Nyutu that they have supplied all the documentary evidence and witness statements to be relied on the matter.

The former KPA boss is facing charges of conspiracy to commit an economic crime and abuse of office.

Manduku who is charged alongside Juma Fadhili is out on a cashbail of Sh 12Million.

According to the charge sheet its alleged that Manduku made an overpayment of Sh244,837,908 to contractors for works that were never completed.

Particulars of the offence are that between march 2019 and August same year being persons employed by public body to with kenya ports authority conspired to commit an offence of corruption to with breach of trust by approving procurement of concrete barriers with contractual sum of Sh 1.4 Billion which work did not have approved budget.

The trial will commence on 8th October this year
