A woman accused of defrauding people by pretending that she will recruit their families to KDF has been charged.

A woman has been charged at Milimani Law Courts with stealing from people by pretending that she would secure for them opportunities at Kenya Defense Forces.

Catherine Ndila Musyoka appeared before magistrate Martha Nanzushi and denied the charges.

The court was informed that on diverse dates between March 13 and 23,2021 at Nairobi conspired to obtain Sh 700,000 from Mathias Mulelo.

She faced another count where she was charged with obtaining money by false pretense against the law.

The accused was charged with obtaining Sh 700,000 by pretending that she was in a position to assist him secure employment opportunities for his relatives with the Kenya Defense Forces.

The prosecution did Not oppose bail but requested the court to consider the penalties that offense attracts if the suspect is found guilty.

She was released on Sh 200,000 cash bail.

The matter will be mentioned on June 7,2021 at city court
