Step son charged with threatening to kill his grandmother

A step grandson to an old lady has been charged with threatening to kill her if she fails to send 10,000 USD.
James Murimi pleaded guilty before Kibera law Courts magistrate William Tulei.
He threatened Mary Wambogo on June 30,2021 at Lavington in Dagoretti sub county after he demanded USD 10,000 be sent at a certain location.
The accused threatened to kill the old lady and her children if she failed to follow instructions.He even threatened that he knew all her movements.
Murimi had also been charged with obtaining Sh 480,000 from Mary pretending that he would sell her a Toyota Hilux motor vehicle from Old Mutual Insurance.
The money was sent to accounts that he withdrew and later failed to pick the calls.
He will appear in court next week where the court will rule on the matter.
