A police officer has been charged with assault against the law.
Evans Kemboi appeared before magistrate Susan Shitubi and denied assault charges. The court was informed that on September 25, 2020 at Jogoo road Police Station, within Kamukunji Sub-County, in Nairobi, jointly assaulted Nickson Kiruta Gitau thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
He was also charged with Malicious damage to property against the law, He was charged that on September 25,2020 at Jogoo Road police station within Kamukunji Sub-County, In Nairobi County willfully and unlawfully damaged two (2)side mirrors of motor vehicle registration number KBV 773Toyota landys worth Sh 30,000 the property of Nickson Kiruta Gitau.
He was released on Sh 10,000 cash bail or bond of 20,000.
The matter will be mentioned on March 3, 2022
