Co_operative bank dealt a setback in Nyali land auction plan.

A court sitting in Mombasa has suspended the move by Co_operative bank from autioning or selling a land in the market Nyali area over alleged Sh 155M claim.

Judge Olga Sewe who issued the orders said petitioner Jonathan Muturi has established out a case to warrant grant of orders.

Sewe issued the orders pending the hearing and determination of a case filed by Muturi.

Muturi says he is the sole proprietor of the land and is challenging the claim by the bank against him.

He says that he is the owner of the land measuring approximately 9 acres and a guarantor of a banks overdraft of Sh 51.2 Million advanced by the bank to Quantum Petroleum limited in 2013.
