DPP directed to produce witness statements in Jeff Mwathi’s Inquest ahead of hearing.

A total of thirty five witnesses have been lined up to testify in an inquest where a 23 year old interior Jeff Mwathi is alleged to have died under a mysterious circumstances.While giving the direction,Milimani resident magistrates Zainab Abdul ordered that the director of public prosecution to supply all the parties with witnesses statement a head of the hearing slated for the 10th of August.Speaking to the press on the procedures to be followed during an inquest, family lawyer Dunstan Omari said that an inquest will only be done once the government has failed to explain it name the exact person who committed the murder.”Anybody who has information about the death of Mwathi can contact the family through the lawyer.”Said OmariOmari who led a battalion of lawyers on behalf of the family expressed his dissatisfaction over the manner in which the government through the DCI conducted the investigation.During the second postmodern,Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor established that he had severe head injuries.Jeff died early this year under mysterious circumstances and the family is now in court seeking justice
