FIVE IN SH 94M QUICK MATT HEIST DETAINED FOR 10DAYS

Five people in the Ksh 94M Quick art heist have been detained for 10days to allow police complete investigations.

The five Ismael Patrick Gitonga, Michael Matolo Njeru, Samwel Onyango Haya, Martin Nderi Ng’ang’a and James Mbatia Kariuki appeared before magistrate Zainabu Abdul where the prosecution sought orders to have them detained for 21 days.

The police want them to be detained at Capitol Hill Police Station in Nairobi region headquarters to complete investigations.

Following a report by complainant on behalf of Wells Fargo Limited vide Akila police station and it was established that Sh 94,918,750 belonging to quick art Supermarkets which was on transit to Family Bank Kenyatta Avenue, was stolen by kno

employees of Wells Farco in collaboration with unknown others moments after the cash in transit vehicle registration number KBA 517T commonly known as Ko9 had departed from Fargo house in South C at about 0714hrs.
