FORMER LAMU SENATOR ANWAR HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH CAR THEFT CLAIMS

Former Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip has been charged  with Sh6million motor vehicle fraud.

In the first count, Anwar was accused that on August 3,2022 at unknown place within the country, without lawful authority or excuse made a motor vehicle registration certificate purporting it to be a genuine certificate issued by national Transport and Safety Authority.

He faced another count of fraudulently uttering to Samson Malonza a forged motor vehicle certificate for motor vehicle registration number KDA 005C.

The court heard Loitiptip also fraudulently obtained from Samson Malonza a total sum of Sh6million by falsely pretending that you were in a position to sell to him a land cruiser v8 a fact he knew tonbe false.

He is allged to have committed the offence on August 3, 2022 at Kileleshwa area in Kilimani.
He denied the charges before Milimani senior principal magistrate Gilbert Shikwe and pleaded for lenient bond terms.

He was released on Sh 700,000 cash bail or a bond of sh 1M.
