The two Qamar Salad Abdi and Ifrah Ali Jeyte have appeared magistrate Benmark Ekhubi and denied the charges.
Court was informed that the two on August 28,2025 within Kilimani Subcounty, jointly with others not before Court were found in possession of numerous bundles of 100 USD.
This amounts to USD 560,000 and equivalent to Sh 70,000,000.
Through their lawyer Mohamed Noor, the accused pleaded with the court to be released on bail.
“Your Honour my clients were arrested as they presented themselves in court, one of them is ailing,” added Noor while seeing for bail.
Magistrate Benmark released them on bond of Sh 500,000 or a cash bail of Sh 400,000.
They were ordered to deposit their passports in court as the magistrate has cited seriousness of offence.
