Matheka wambua appeared before chief Magistrate Wendy Micheni and denied the charges.
He was accused that on on September 14,2021 within the republic of Kenya, jointly with others not before court, obtained Sh 495,000 from Africa Star Railways Operation by falsely pretending that as the patron to Shimoni Youth Group, he was going to set up a non-profit community water project, knowing it was untrue.
