A  C.E.O and General manager of  Printing Services Limited has been  charged with forgery.

Cheekati Narasimha Rao has appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi and denied one count of forgery against the law.

Court heard that the offense was committed on April 1,2010.

Cheekati was charged that with intent to deceive,he forged the signature of Malkiat Sigh Dhillon on a letter of appointment promoting himself to the position of Production Manager of Printing Services limited.

The accused is said to have purported that the said letter has been signed by the said Singh Dhillon,the managing director of printing services limited.

Through lawyer Kimani Wachira,the victim wanted the accused to be granted stringent bond terms in line with the offense.

He was released on Sh 500,000 bond or a cash bail of Sh

Cheekati Narsimha Rao, an Indian national, who appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi  denied criminal charges of forgery.

After pleading not guilty,he requested the court to grant him reasonable bail terms, stating that he had been unemployed since April 2024 and had been unwell. He further argued that he is not a flight risk.

However, Lawyer Kimani Wachira, representing the complainant Dhillon, requested that the court compel Rao to deposit his passport, citing previous attempts by the accused to leave the country. Wachira also informed the court that Rao is currently under investigation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in a separate case involving Sh254 million, where he is suspected of stealing from his employer.

Rao was also ordered to deposit his passport with the court and not leave the country without prior permission.

The case will be mentioned on January 20, 2025, for pretrial directions.
