Two Businessmen in court over NHIF land fraud worth Sh 1.5B in Karen.

Two people are fighting court case involving Sh 1.5 billion in Karen alleged to belong to the  National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF).

The two Peter David Leparakwo and Cirtext Kenya ltd Fredrick Kimemia Kimani were charged in May 2023 and released on bail.

Leparakwo is being accused that on 29th October 2013 at Nairobi County jointly with others not before court, with intent to defraud NHIF, he allegedly forged a title deed for the said land measuring 9.5 acres.

He is said to have forged a title of land certificate purporting it to be a genuine and valid certificate prepared and issued by the chief land registrar at the ministry of Lands and Physical Planning at Nairobi land registry.

They faced several other counts of forging a deed and uttering false documents.

The matter is ongoing before magistrate Lucas Onyina
