Francis Tonny has been arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts over allegations of falsely claiming to be an official of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK).
Tonny faces a personation charge under Section 382 of the Penal Code in relation to alleged incidents at the offices of Meiso Company in Nairobi.
The charge sheet states that the alleged offences occurred on various dates between August 7 and August 13, 2026, at Zahra Plaza, first floor, along River Road.
Tonny is accused of representing himself to employees of Meiso Company as an officer of CAK, while allegedly knowing that he did not hold such a position.
The prosecution further alleges that the representation was made with the intention of deceiving the company’s employees.
Tonny was arrested on August 13 and taken before the Milimani Law Courts on August 14, where the charge was presented.
The court released him on a cash bail of Ksh100,000.
The case will return to court for mention on September 1, 2026.
