A Businessman has been accused of defrauding catholic church of over Sh 3 million.
James Maingi Kimani and Dodi Autotech Kenya Limited appeared before magistrate Martha Mutuku and denied the charges.
The court was informed that on September 6,2017 and October 27,2018 at Dodi Autotech Kenya Limited in Industrial Area within Nairobi County, with intent to defraud jointly with others not before the court obtained Sh 3,950,000 from revered John Peter Gitonga, by falsely pretending that he was in a position to sell and fabricate an Isuzu NQR 33-seater Bus which he was purchasing on behalf of catholic diocese of Meru St-Johns Boarding Primary School Maua, a fact he knew to be false.
He denied the charges and was released on Sh 400,000 cash bail.
