Governor Ngilu and the 2 county officers have honoured Court summons and physically appeared before Justice Monica Mbaru .
Governor Ngilu undertook to comply with court orders and pay Kitui County Doctors their salary arrears within 30 days from today .
The Governor confirmed that the dismissed Doctors are free to work with the court after appropriate mediation .
Lawyer Henry Kurauka for KMPDU confirmed that they filed an application for contempt of court that sought committal to jail of the Governor and 2 officers.
But they are ready and willing to withdraw the matters if the orders are compiled by the County and upon mediation by all the parties .
Kitui doctors have not been paid for 5 months since July 2021. The case will be mentioned on December 10, 2021 to confirm compliance.
