Two men accused of dealing with fake gas cylinders have been charged and released on bail at Milimani law courts.
The two Kenneth Kibaki Mburu and Geofrey Ebrahim Macharia Kieru appeared before magistrate Omondi and denied the charges.
They were accused of trading and dealing with LPG Cylinders of another licensee for gain without the said licensee prior written consent contrary to section 99 of petroleum Act 2019.
The two were charged that on December 18,2021 at Pipeline area within Embakasi Sub-County in Nairobi County, jointly while using a motor vehicle KDA O21Z they were found dealing with assorted filled LPG cylinders which are K-gas ,Sea gas,Oilibya,Hashi, Afrigas among others for gain without prior written consent from the licenced owners.
They were released on Sh 30,000 cash bail.The matter will be mentioned on February 2,2021.
