Warrant of arrest has been issued against two people involved in car theft claims.
Court issued Cliff Nyabwendo Nyasinga and Faustina Moraa with a warrant of arrest after they failed to appear in court for plea taking.
The intended charge sheet reads that on diverse dates between October 27, 2020 and February 10, 2021 at unknown place within the country, conspired to defraud Fabrice Boyi a sum of Sh 1,087,900 by falsely pretending that they were in a position to import for him a CR-V Honda motor vehicle from Japan and subsequently retained it for their own use.
Nyambwendo is expected to be charged with obtaining motor vehicle registration by false pretense contrary to the section 320 of the penal code.
He is also expected to be charged with stealing motor vehicles contrary to section 278A of the penal code.
Nyambwendo is accused that on the diverse dates between February 10, 2021 and February 15, 2021 in Mombasa Port, stole motor vehicle registration number KDB449T of CR-V Homnda MAKE VALUED 1,700,000 the property of Fabrice Boyi.
In the last count, Nyabwendo and Faustina Moraa Nyasinga were charged with handling stolen property contrary to the law.
Nyabwendo Nyasinga and Faustina Moraa Nyasinga are accused that on May 10, 2022 at Kiamunyi Estate in Nakuru County, otherwise than in the course of stealing, retained a motor vehicle registration number KDB449T of CR-V Honda make for the benefit of Cliff Nyambwendo Nyasinga.
They will take a plea on Tuesday next week.
