Two accused of stealing from Judge of berneque Jiko worth 60k charged.

Two men who allegedly stole barbeque, Nyama Choma Jiko worth Sh60, 000 from Judge’s home after a certain party she had organized for her guests have been charged with theft at the Kibera Court.

The two Patrick Isavwa Ngongo and George Okwany Odhiambo were charged today before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Jacqueline Kahuya where they denied the charges.

The court heard that the accused person stole the said items from Hon. Justice Abida Ali Aroni at her home in Hardy area in Langata Sub-County within Nairobi County.

It is alleged that they committed the offence and the Hon. Judge realized a month later after wanted to use the said items for another event.

Being a senior Judiciary officer, the Judge didn’t check if they had been well placed and after sometimes she went to check if they were safe only to find that they were missing.

The two had been employed at the Judge residence as a caretaker and mason respectively.

The Judge noted that the items were missing after searching for them for a while.

A report was made at the Langata police which led to the arrest of the accused person.

In court, the accused person denied the charges and were released on Sh20,000 , the case will be mentioned on November 15 for a pre-trial.
