Former Mr. Kenya Robert Budi and his wife Wendy have been arrested over assault causing actual bodily harm contrary to section 257 of the penal code.
The two are accused of subjecting their seven year old daughter to inhumane treatment forcing the law enforcement authorities to intervene and save the child.
Robert Clark Budi and his wife Wendy Kimingi were arrested outside Milimani High Court family division court minutes after exiting the court.
The two are suspected to have willfully subjected their child aged seven years to torture by slapping her on the hands, legs and thigh.
They have been detained at Karen Police Station and are expected to be arraigned in court tomorrow.
