7 IN Sh 6M FAKE MILK DEAL CHARGED

Seven people have been charged at Milimani Law Courts a with Sh 6 Million worth of unaccustomed goods.

Ahmed Ibrahim Abdile, Osama Abdikarim Mohamed, Abdimalik Mohamed Abduahi,Abdiwahid Os,an Kasim,Dahir Hussein Abdi,Nabusuwa and Said Abdulahi Dirie appeared before magistrate Bernard Ochoi and denied the charges.

They charged that on January 23, 2024 at Amana wholesalers Limited on East Leigh area within Nairobi County, they were found in possession of unaccustomed goods all with a dutiable value of Sh 6,718,153.59.

They faced a second count of importing dairy produce without a valid permit issued by Kenya DAIRY Board contrary to regulation 6(1) as read with regulation 13 of the dairy Industry Regulations, 2021.

They were charged that January 23, 2024 at Amana Wholesalers limited on East Leigh area within Nairobi County in Republic of Kenya jointly were found in possession of unaccustomed goods without a valid permit from the Kenya dairy board.

They were also charged with failing to pay import levy to the Kenya Dairy Board contrary to regulation 9(1) as read with regulation 9(2) of the dairy industry and exports regulations, 2021.

They were charged that on January 23, 2024 at Amana wholesalers limited on East Leigh area within Nairobi County in The Republic of Kenya jointly were found in possession of unaccustomed goods whose import levy totaling to Sh Sh 1,000,000 had not been paid contrary to the said regulations.

They were released for Sh 2M and Sh 500,000.
