Two Genghis Capital employees have been charged with Sh 17 million from Genghis Capital.

Two Genghis Capital employees have been charged with Sh 17 million fraud.

Ian Waihenya Ndungu and Damaris Wakiuru Ndirangu was charged that on diverse dates between March 2023 and September 2023 at Genghis Capital, jointly with others not before court conspired to defraud Sh 17,022,719 the property of Genghis Capital.

Ian Waihenya Ndirangu was charged that between May 2023 and June 2023 at Genghis Capital Limited in Nairobi within County, being an employee of the said company, stole cash worth Sh 10,379,099 the property of the said capital.

Waihenya was also charged with handling stolen property against the law. He allegedly handled 10,379,099 knowing it was stolen property.

Damaris was charged on diverse dates 17, 2023 and April 24, 2023 at Genghis Capital in Nairobi County, jointly with another before court, and stole Sh 1,584,921 the property of Genghis Capital.

They denied the charges before magistrate Susan Shitubi and were released on a bond of Sh 3M each or a cash bail of Sh 1M.
