Man charged with forging an investment agreement document at Milimani Commercial

He was also charged with uttering a false document against the law.

Mohammed Yasin Botan has been charged at Milimani court with forging an investment agreement at Milimani Commercial Court.

The man who appeared before magistrate Robinson Ondieki denied all the counts.

He was charged that on January 11, 2024, at Milimani Commercial Court, forged the document dated June 1, 2021 for Habson Investment Company Limited purporting it to be genuine investment agreement signed by Bashir Hussein Abdisalam and Abdi Osman Jumaa, the directors of the above mentioned company.

He was also charged with uttering a false document against the law.

The court was informed that on January 11, 2024 at Milimani Commercial Court, he uttered a forged investment agreement signed by Bashir Hussein Abdisalam and Abdi Osman Jamaa of the above mentioned company.

He was also charged Perjury in the last count on similar dates and places.

The court heard that in a judicial proceedings in civil case number COMMS e017of 2024 at Milimani Commercial Court, was the applicant in a sworn affidavit before Chesikaw and Kipkorir Advocates, a commissioner for oaths in the republic of Kenya and filed in the said suit, knowingly gave false testimony touching on the matter which was material to question pending in that proceeding, namely a civil suit.

He was released on Sh 300,000 cash bail.
