An employee of Seraph engineering limited was today arraigned in a Nairobi court facing charges of conspiracy to defraud the company director.

According to the prosecution, the accused person together with her accomplices, falsely opened an account domiciled at Standard Chartered Bank by pretending that the it was a genuine account for Seraph Engineering limited.

However, both the prosecution Counsel and the complainant’s lawyer objected to the plea being deferred.

In a ruling delivered by Magistrate, R.M Ndombi, the court said the accused person can pursue alternative dispute resolution at any stage of the case hence she should proceed and and answer for her charges.

She denied the charges and was released on Ksh 1M bond with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 300,000. The case will be mentioned on August 1.
