FORMER GOVERNOR MIKE SONKO WITHDRAWS A CASE AGAINST UNIVERSITY STUDENT WHO USED HIS NAME TO CON PEOPLE.

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has withdrew a case against a University Student who conned unsuspecting Kenyans using his name:

Tyson Kibet had been charged on May 27,2024 with Cyber squattingw which is unauthorized registration and use of Internet domain names that are identical or similar to trademarks,service marks ,company names,or personal names.

He had pleaded not guilty before magistrate Susan Shitubi.

According to the charge sheet,Kibet created a Facebook account in the name of Mike Sonko without the authority of the said former county bos.

He was alleged to have committed the offense on November 25,2023 where he created an account using Mike Sonko Credentials.

Appearing before magistrate Onsarigo and withdrew the case.

Kibet thanked Sonko and pleaded with him to grant him a Job so that he can stop being Idol.

He had been out on a Cash bail of Sh 200,000 or a bond of Sh 1M.

The accused is now free.
