KRA imposter charged in court.

A KRA imposter has been charged at Milimani Law Courts.

Muli Nzili appeared before magistrate Benmark Ekhubi and denied the charges of impersonation.

He told the court that he  retained the alleged fake KRA credentials as a way of saving the life of his wife since he did not have money to pay for his wife’s medical bills.

Nzili was arraigned before Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi where the prosecution alleged that on December 4, 2024, he represented himself as person employed at the KRA.

He was also accused of being in possession of a KRA staff card in the names of Masaki Ogendi reasonably suspected to have been stolen.

In his defense, he said that his wife is a staff at the KRA and that the said staff card belonged to his wife and he had retained them to be able to access medical cover of his wife since he didn’t have money.

He denied having impersonated any employee from KRA.

He said he is a Tax agent and he only intended to save the life of his sick wife.

He was released on Ksh 300, 000 bond. The case will proceed on January 23, 2025.
