The main shareholder of Direct line insurance company Dr SK Macharia has written to ethics and anti corruption commission “EACC “seeking to have the current directors to be investigated.
Through his lawyers,Dastan Omari and Shadrack Wambui,Masharia is accusing the current chair of the commissioner for insurance and regulatory authority one Godfrey Kiptum be subjected to through investigation for spearheading looting of money through a group of fraudulent directors.
According to Omari,Macharia with 90% of the total shareholder in the company says over nine billions has been stolen by fake directors since the death of his son John Macharia, who was then the one running the company.
“We have instructions from my client Mr Masharia to write to the Eacc seeking to have the entire board of directors at the direct line insurance company be investigated over fraudulent withdrawal of money from this company ” Said Omari
