Two in Westlands land fraud worth Sh 200M charged.

Two businessmen have been charged with land fraud valued at Sh 200M.

The two Michael Njenga Waweru and Juma Luande Mudogo have appeared before Milimani Magistrate Susan Shitubi and denied the charges.76

They have charged that they conspired to defraud Jane Wairimu Mwangi of her parcel of land located at Westlands area measuring 0.2020 Ha valued at Sh 200,000,000 by falsely claiming that they were allocated the land by the Commj

issioner of lands,knowing it was untrue.

The two were charged in a second count with making a fake document without authority against the law.

The court heard that on October 2,2007 with intent to defraud Jane Wairimu Mwangi,made a letter of allotment in a favor of Michael Njenga Waweru purporting it to be a genuine letter issued by Department of lands signed by Onyiro Mukobe for Commissioner of Lands.

In the last court,the two were charged that on October 5,2010 at unknown place within the country,with intent to defraud the said land,they made a letter of Allotment for Renewal of lease dated October 5,2010 in favour of Michael Njenga purporting it to be genuine and issued by department of lands signed by F.K Kahuho for Commissioner of lands..

They were released on Sh 300,000 cash bail.
