Vlogger Edgar Obare charged with sharing private documents without consent.

An online blogger has been charged at Kiambu Law Courts with sharing private documents of Vlogger Natalie Wanjiru Githinji without her consent.

The blogger who runs a popular Instagram page specializing in local celebrity exposés has denied the charges.

The court was informed that he committed the offense on diverse dates between July 9 and 13 ,2020 using his social media account.

“Using your social media  accounts domain name www.bnn.ke  and verified Instagram account @edgarobare,unlawfully disclosed to your online followers, personal data to wit visa belonging to one Natalie Wanjiru without her consent “Reads charge sheet in parts.

It is said that the blogger unlawfully published private and personal details about the Youtuber.

He claimed that local female Youtuber was part of the entourage that visited ODM leader Raila Odinga in Dubai.

Others in the entourage included MP Junet Mohamed who travelled aboard a chartered private Jet.

Obare was arrested on Friday in Kisumu before he was taken to the DCI headquarters for questioning.

Through his populous Instagram channel on Saturday, the blogger said he was being detained at the Gigiri police station.

He was released on Sh 100,000 cash bail.
