He raised concerns over governance, public resource management, and national stability.
Concerns over fraud and misuse of public funds
In a statement issued on behalf of the organisation, Onyango warned about rising cases of fraud, organised crime, and misuse of public funds.
He said these actions continue to weaken public trust and affect the security, dignity, and livelihoods of Kenyans.
Onyango specifically raised concerns over reported losses linked to the e-Citizen platform.
He urged authorities to conduct independent and transparent investigations into the matter.
He said anyone responsible for losing, mismanaging, or diverting public funds must face legal consequences.
Call for stronger investigations
Onyango urged oversight and investigative agencies, including the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), to act quickly.
He called on the agencies to establish the source of funds allegedly used to support unrest, violence, or fraudulent activities.
He also asked Parliament to strengthen laws governing public digital platforms.
According to Onyango, better oversight will help close loopholes and protect public resources from abuse.
Appeal for peaceful civic engagement
Onyango stressed the need to protect peace and constitutional rights.
He highlighted the importance of safeguarding the right to peaceful assembly.
Ahead of the Linda Mwananchi Rally, he urged the National Police Service and other security agencies to protect all participants.
He asked security officers to avoid intimidation, interference, and excessive force.
Warning against violence and disorder
Onyango warned politicians and other individuals against promoting violence, supporting criminal groups, or disrupting public order.
He said authorities must take firm action against anyone who breaks the law.
He also encouraged Kenyans to remain peaceful, alert, and united in rejecting corruption, violence, and impunity.
“Enough is enough,” Onyango said, adding that Kenyans deserve transparent leadership, responsible governance, and meaningful development.
Justice & Equity Kenya supports statement
Justice & Equity Kenya Secretary Janet Sutton and Organising Secretary Rose Nyarkaksingri also endorsed the statement.
The organisation continues to call for accountability, good governance, and peaceful participation in national affairs.
