ABSA BANK OFFICIAL IN SH 3M theft released on 500CB

Absa bank official in trouble after being accused of stealing Sh 3M

Evans Onyango Ogolla has appeared before Milimani Court Magistrate Bernard Ochoi and pleaded not guilty.

He has been charged  with  conspiring to defraud the bank together with other people yet to be arrested.

He is said to have to stole the said money on diverse dates between November 17 and 20, 2023.

Onyango faces another charge of stealing by servant.

The court was informed that he stole the money while being employed  a digital credit analyst to the bank.

He is said to have stole Ksh 1,627,069 from the bank.

The accused was  released on a bond of Ksh 1 million with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 500,000.
