Company Director Rajendra Sanjendra testifies Against Brian Yongo in threatening to Kill Case.

He told the court that he recorded death threats on his Ipad,he was also shot in the eye.

A managing director of Granada Trading Company Rajendra Sanjendra has appeared in court today and narrated how he recorded death threats from City Debt Collector Brian Yongo.

Appearing before Magistrate Dolphina Alego,the  Businessman  said he recorded the said threats with his IPad and was ready to present it to court if he was ordered to.

He said Yongo called him numerously on what’s up and his friend owes him over Sh 100M.

Asked by lawyer Jack Bigambo who is acting for Yongo whether he owed Sh 30,000 to the alleged friend of Yongo,he said know.

He said he used to help him with small money like sh 5000  but he did not owe him anything.

Bigambo asked him whether that phone number he says was calling with belonged to Yongo and he said he cannot tell though he presented the number to police while recording statements.

“Is the photo that was displaying on what’s up of a man or a woman.”asked Bigambo.

Ranjedra who was testifying in Cyber harassment case against Yongo told Court that he is bitter because Yongo did not only threaten to him but also his wife.

“He threatened my wife and I feel sad about that,he had initially tried to lure me into believing he had good intentions but I have seen alot I knew he was dangerous,”added Ranjedra who appeared unwell and had to give his testimony while seated.

Asked who shot him,he said he does not know.

The old man is being represented by lawyer Hiram Kago who is watching brief for him.

While being cross examined by lawyer  Bigambo,he described to court  how recorded the threats on messenger.

“I Was using my phone so I could not record with it since am not very conversant with the current technology trends,”the victim narrated.

Bigambo told him that phone number that he alleges called him did not belong to Yongo and that even the profile on WhatsApp was that of a woman.

The witness insisted it was Yongo since he had known him for some times.

In the case,Yongo Otumba has been charged with threatening to kill Rajendra and cyber harassing him.

Yongo is accuse of committing the offence in Park Land area in Wetlands sub-county.

He was charged with two counts.

In the first count the controversial businessman was accused of threatening to kill Rajendra Shanghan.

According to the prosecution on 12th April 2024 Yongo made unprintable insults and subsequently threatening to kill Rajendra Shanghani.

In second count,Yongo is charged with cyber-crime computer misuse and harassment where he was accused of sending a threatening message to the complainant through WhatsApp text.

The prosecution told court that text sent by Yongo to Rajendra was likely to cause apprehension or fear of violence

He is out on Sh 200,000 bond  plus one contact person bond terms or alternative ksh 100000.

The controversial businessman is linked to Neptune credit Management limited company, a company that recover debt on behalf of creditors from defaulters.

Hearing continues as few more witnesses are yet to testify.
