Directline Insurance Company Staff faces Sh 3.5M theft charges

An Insurance Company Staff has been charged with stealing  Sh 3.5M.

Wycliffe Wabukula,who is an employee of Directline Assurance Company,denied the charges before magistrate Gilbert Shikwe.
He is said to have committed the offense on  diverse dates between April 1 and July 30, 2024.
The prosecution said he committed that offense while being an employee of the said  Company.
Total amount he is said to have stolen is Sh 3, 507, 865.
He requested for favourable  bond terms and was released  on Sh 1m bond or a cash bail of Sh 500,000.
The matter will be mentioned on November 11,2024.
