Three suspects have been detained in police cells after being accused of conspiring to steal over Sh 30 million.
The three suspects Francis Masai Musyimi, Mercy Mbinya Muthoka and Charity Maua Muthoka are accused of conspiring to steal Ksh 30,998,000 from Progressive Credit Limited.
According to the prosecution, the three suspects together with Nicholas Muia Kyengo who is still at large, on diverse dates between April 12, 2022 and July 18, 2024 being employees of Progressive Credit Limited allegedly stole Ksh 30,998,000 from the said credit facility.
Francis Masai Musyimi and Nicholas Muia Kyengo are separately charged with stealing by servant where the prosecution alleged that the two stole Ksh 30,998,000 from their employer, Progressive Credit Limited.
Charity Maua Muthoka was also separately charged with stealing Ksh 30,998,000 from Progressive Credit limited on diverse dates between April 12, 2022 and July 18, 2024.
Consequently, Mercy Mbinya Muthoka faced a charge of stealingKsh 15,499,000 from Progressive Credit Limited on diverse dates between April 12, 2022 and July 18, 2024.
Appearing before Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi at Milimani Law Courts, the suspects denied the charges and were detained at police cells until Wednesday, December 4, 2024 for bail and bond release ruling.
