2 Nurses from Ngara Medical Centre accused of splashing acid on officers freed on bond.

The two Nurses from Ngara Medical Centre accused of splashing acid on three police officers have been released on bond.

The two Nurses; Jonah Kipsiror Marori and Ephraim Mwaura Karumbi appeared before Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi where they were charged with carrying out the business of a pharmacist in premises not registered by the pharmacy and poisons board.

Jonah Kipsiror Marori was separately charged with causing grievous harm to a police constable Tom Mbuku on November 25, 2024 after splashing acid on him after storming his medical Centre after getting information that an unlawful abortion was probably being carried out in the clinic.

He was also charged with causing grievous harm to PC Woman Joyce Otieno thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm.

Further, Jonah Kipsiror Marori is accused of splashing acid to PC Moses Lelei occasioning him actual bodily harm.

The two suspects denied the charges and Jonah Kipsiror Marori was released on Ksh 600,000 bond while Ephraim Mwaura Karumbi was released on Ksh 300,000 bond.
