Gold dealer Philip Aroko detained for 7days pending the conclusion of investigations.

Businessman/Politician Philip Aroko has been detained for seven days following an application by DPP in regard to the gruesome Murder of Kasipul MP Ongondo Were.

The DPP sought to detain the suspects for 30days to conclude investigations including retrieving forensic information from his Mobile Phone.

While opposing to bail,Oroko requested the court to grant him 5 days so that he can attend to his wife and also take care of his businesses that requires his personal attention.

He added that he is not a flight risk,he presidented himself to the police and is willing to co_operate with the investigations.

The trial magistrate Irene Gichobi while granting the said days considered the fact that he presented himself to Police Station.

The matter will be mentioned on May 17/2025
