Woman charged with Sh 1.2M fraud where she allegedly forged Tycoon Chandaria’s purchase order.

Jane Njeri Karinge is accused that on May 17,2019 at unknown place within the republic of Kenya,with the intent to deceive ,without authority altered Chandaria Industries LTD purchase order No.059867 purporting it to be genuine issued by Chandaria Industries Limited.

She faced a second count of uttering the fake document on April 2019 at Gikomba Market withoin Naiorbi County,with intent to defraud,knowingly uttered purchase the said purchase order to Elizabeth Wawira purprting it to be executed by Chandaria Industries Limited.

In the last count,Njeri was charged with obtaining money by false pretenses against the law.

Njeri was charged that on diverse dates between April 4,2019 and July 31,2019 at Gikomba Market within Nairobi County,she obtained Sh 1,200,000 by falsely pretending that she had secured a tender with Chandaria Industries LTD a fact she knew to be false.

Through lawyer Danstan Omari,the woman said that she is a single mother who is breastfeeding.

“My client is a second year student and the exams are yet to start,”added Omari.

Omari requested the court to release the woman on favorable bond terms.

a magistrate released her on a bond of Sh 500,000 or a cash bail of Sh 100,000.
