A man has been arraigned in court over Sh 50M land fraud claims

A man has been arraigned in court over Sh 50M land fraud claims.

Howard Mugambi Mururu appeared before magistrate Susan Shitubi but did not plead to charges.

This is because the court was informed that there is a stay order from the court.

The complainant in this case is also a party in the high court.

The intended charge sheet reads that on an unknown date and time at unknown place within the country within the republic,jointly with another not before court conspired with intent to defraud Sammy Komen Mwaita a parcel of Land L.R No 13791/3 valued that your company Mart Properties Limited a fraudulently registered entity was the registered proprietor to the said parcel of Land a fact he knew to be false.

Another intended charge is obtaining registration by false pretenses contrary to Section 37 of the penal code.

According to the intended charge sheet,Howard Mugambi Mururu is alleged that on December 17,2021 at Ardhi house within Nairobi County,with intent to defraud obtained registration of transfer of land Parcel L.R No.13791/3 from Mart Properties Limited to Howard Mururu Mugambi ,a fact he knew to be false.

A ruling on whether he will take plea will be delivered soon.
