Police IG’s son in court after he allegedly killed two boda boda riders by dangerous driving.

A case in which Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai’s son is being charged over an accident in which two boda boda riders died has been pushed to June this year.
David Mwenda Nzioka is facing two counts of causing death by dangerous driving against the law.
Mwenda is being charged that on December 2, 2021 at about 1842 hours along Southern by Pass near West Park Estate within Nairobi County, being the driver of motor vehicle registration number, DB 421Z make Toyota Hilux Double Cabin, did drove the said motor vehicle in a dangerous manner to other road users in that he swerved to the wrong side of the road and hit a motorcycle registration number KMEL 948F make Honda and caused the death of one rider Stephen Omwota.
In the second count, he was charged with causing the death by dangerous driving contrary to the law.
He is said to have caused the death of Stephen Musyoka and Richard Omwota.
The IG son is said to have been driving in a dangerous manner to other road users in that he swerved to the wrong side of the road and hit two motor cycles causing the death of the two.
When the matter came before magistrate Martha Nazunshi today, the court was informed that the magistrate was not sitting and it was mentioned in and June 30,2022 will be the next hearing dates.

A pedestrian was seriously injured.The prosecution has lined up 13 witnesses.
He is out on Sh 300,000 cash bail.
