A city businesswoman was on Tuesday arraigned at Milimani law court and charged with attempted murder.

A city businesswoman was on Tuesday arraigned at Milimani law court and charged with attempted murder.

Rosemary Mutheu Muathe who appeared before Milimani magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo however pleaded not guilty to one count and was released on a cash bail of Ksh 500,000 or alternatively a bond of Ksh 2,000,000 with a surety of similar amount.

While delivering the ruling,Onsarigo further ordered that the accused to deposit his passport in court.

While seeking for leniency,his lawyer told the court that the accused is a family woman with a place of aboard,he also added that ,the matter in court eminated from a commercial dispute and she is not a flight risk.

According to the chargesheet,it’s alleged that on diverse dates on 1st July 2024 and 1st August 2024 at unknown place within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with another before court conspire to kill one Anthony Maina Mutahi.

The matter will now be mentioned on the 7th October 2024 for pre trial directions.
