by FRANK MACHARIA

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have arrested a security guard who stole from a foreign High Commissioner’s residence over a month ago.

Brian Mbache Libasi who worked at the said home in Kileleshwa stole household items on June 23 then fled.

He has been at large for weeks as the DCI officers tracked him.

On the said day he was on duty, which gave him an easy access without raising eyebreow.

He was arrested from his hideout today at Mwembeni area of Kibra, Nairobi.

The household items stolen which included furniture, beddings, fridge and other items were also recovered.

This comes two days after another city resident was arrested for sending terror attack letters laced with poison to a High Commission.

Tracy Wairimu was arrested in Utawala and is now awaiting court verdict.

The two letters bearing threatening messages were sprayed with industrial chemicals and fever pesticides.
