4 poachers arrested with 100kg of elephant tusks to be charged today.

Four people has been arrested in Muranga county after they were found in possession of elephant tusks.

The four were aressted at Kangari center within muranga county on 30/7/2021.

They are expected in court today to face various charges.

Poaching has been defined as the illegal hunting or capturing of wild animals, usually associated with land use rights. Poaching was once performed by impoverished peasants for subsistence purposes and a supplement for meager diets.
