Man charged with Sh 1.2 M fraud in ongoing Bitcoin scandal.

Walter Wekhanya Keya appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Jane Kamau and denied one count of conspiracy to defraud against the law.

He was accused that on August 7, 2020 in Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) with intent to defraud jointly with others not before the court, conspired to defraud ENOCK NGOGE OKUTUMU a sum of Sh 1,200,000.

The accused is said to have pretended that he was in a position to sell him one BIT coin valued at the said amount knowing it was false.

He was released on Sh 1Million bond terms or a cash bail of Sh 500,000.
