Man sentenced to 3 years imprisonment for stealing from Co-operative Bank

A car wash attendant has been sentenced for 3 years for stealing money from Co-Operative Bank of Kenya Limited.

Hillary Muhazi Injera Alias Mustafa Abass has been sentenced by Milimani Magistrate Wendy Kagendo.

He was charged that on November 16,2021, at Co-Operative Bank of Kenya Limited Kibera Branch in Nairobi within Nairobi, jointly with others not before court stole Sh 150,000 the property of Co-Operative Bank of Kenya Limited.

The convict was charged another count of stealing against the law.

He was charged that on November 18,2021 at Co-operative Bank of Kenya Limited Kibera Branch in Nairobi, within Nairobi County, jointly with others not before court stole Sh 230,000.

The accused was also charged with personation Contrary to Section 382 of the code.

Mustafa was also charged that on November 22,2021, at Co-Operative Bank of Kenya Limited Kibera branch in Nairobi within Nairobi County, falsely presented himself as Lenah Wambui Njenga a teller at said bank to be account holder of account in the name of Mustafa.

In the last count, the accused was charged with attempted stealing against the law.

The guy was charged with attempting to steal Sh 140,000 from Co-operative bank.

He pleaded guilty to the charges.
