A human rights activist has written to the president of Kenya Hon. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta seeking the resignation of the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji from office.
Charles Rubia is seeking Uhuru’s intervention to have Haji compelled to resign on grounds of bias.favoritism, nepotism, improper motive and non-compliance with chapter six of the constitution among other claims.
“Mr. President for the sake of Kenyans, in your executive capacity compel Noordin Haji to step out for his actions and suspend him from office while investigations are probed against him for the interest of public good and rule of law, “says Rubia.
In the letter dated June 2, 2022 and through lawyer Danstan Omari, Rubia wants the president to intervene in the differences between the offices of the DPP and that of DCI saying that they are ready to provide evidence documents to prove their claims.
They say that the DPP wants power to himself for his benefits and ill motives at the expense of fellow Kenyans.
He says that up to date Haji has failed to provide leadership to the institutions he has been asked to lead.
