University Student charged with stealing Sh 600,000 fraud

A University Student and her co-accused have been charged at Milimani Law Courts with Sh 600,000 fraud.

Chandni Dilip and Bharat Kumar appeared before magistrates and denied the charges. On March 25, 2020 at APA building in Central Business District Nairobi County, with others not before court jointly conspired to defraud Domnic Owuor Dibuoro Sh 600,000 by falsely pretending that they were in a position to sell to him motor vehicle registration number KCF 434 Toyota IST a fact they knew to be false.

Dilip was also charged with obtaining money by false pretenses contrary to the law.

The court was informed that on March 23, 2020 at APA building in Central Business District Nairobi within Nairobi county, with intent to defraud obtained Sh 600,000 from Dominic Owuor Dibuoro by falsely pretending that they were in a position to sell to him motor vehicle registration number KCF 434K Toyota IST knowing it was false.

They were released on a bond of Sh 300,000 or a cash bail of Sh 150,000.Mention on February 2, 2021.
